Today is amazing day to discuss painting, my first oil paint in Mauritius title the "Portrait “is a combination of Modernism, Abstract, Impressionism, symbolism and before i reach to this medium i started as an impressionist painter 15 years ago at the age of 14 when my father died due to complications of kidney infection and diabetic i pity myself because i was the black sheep of the family i never listen to him and do my own thing and when he passed away i expressed it to my painting as impressionist, me and my artist friend love to go to the forest at dawn and wait for the sunrise to come and paint what we see and express our emotions, sadness, emptiness and loneliness through our brush and paint and grab a cup of coffee and brandy at the side we also bring our music instruments while waiting for the sunrise, nature is a great escape for loneliness. and as I explore more on reading& study in the great artist of the world such as Vincent Vangogh, Paul Gaughan, Picasso, Monet, and other great painters i began to understand the real meaning of art. every artist has its own way to express themselves and the creativity of painting that the Dslr Cameras cannot done it, photography is a different Art that captures time and memories but painting is more deeper than photographs as i understand but i cannot argue with the photographers that cannot paint "peace" =).
Anyway I began experimenting the 4 mediums of Art as i mention above to combine into one at first need to consider the rules of art according to the book, the light and shade, the colors, etc... But for me art has no boundaries, no limitations, you can express your deeper thoughts, ideas and creativity on it and its Timeless..I have my first painting here in Mauritius title "Portrait “and Post it and an Art critic Comments this way:
From Art Critics-your use of vivid colors to depict sadness and separation is so refreshing because we are so accustomed to seeing gray or black or blankness to represent loneliness...but you use live colors to represent it...that's plain genius..., but the color variations and opposition you use is so pleasing to the eye...I can even detect the differences between the hues even the minor ones...and the image is disturbingly beautiful...there is calmness, serenity, surrender but also longing, hope, desperation, and there is this love...a love so deep, so pure that is waiting to exhale...My Second Painting I made in Mauritius titled "No Man is an Island" Art critics says:
the brush strokes are not fine and continues which indicate the passion and the periodic strong emotions of the painter...the painter wants to convey a strong message, a strong feeling so that the viewers could experience a strong reaction...the use of vibrant and yet basic colors indicate the basic human emotions of the painter...i can see anger yet overlapped by serenity, chaos yet embraced by simplicity, confusion yet overwhelmed by clarity of purpose...yes the painting evokes negativity but the negativity is overpowered by the positive message/emotion and that what makes this painting so good because it evokes the basic human emotions, the good and the bad but the goodness always comes into the surface leaving you with relief and calmness...the use of the natural/earthly features like mountains and sun indicates the high expectation of the painter in life but he also contrasts that with the reflecting water...which means the painter is a realist, he has high expectations but reflective of the reality...and as the painting says: there is no such thing as picture perfect in life..the transcendence of everything must happen so that we can achieve our utmost goal of living a balance in life..by Art Critics

the reverse side of the painting is title "the Woman" waiting for her man at her window pane even when it rains.......
So i guess that my painting is not in vain there are Artist that understand and appreciate the Art that i made, I am now living in Mauritius away from Home working as a professional an Expat and exploring the Island at the same time exploring Art & Music, my old man always told me you can work with pleasure...(my next blog will be about Music in Mauritius..Cheers!
